There are certain, long-held strategies or beliefs about math instruction that continue to be used in classrooms across America. In this session, we break down some of the most common myths about math instruction that have limited student potential and success for years. We will look at the parts of these myths that make them harmful to student learning and provide alternative, best teaching practices based in neuroscience for better math instruction.
