Stephanie Simpson was a breath of fresh air when she became CEO of AMLE. She reached out to those who had been the heart of NMSA/AMLE to include them and learn from the past so she could build a better future for young adolescents and middle level education. Throughout her tenure she continually used her creativity to develop strategies for increasing the Foundation Fund to further the mission of AMLE. During this time she guided the re-imagining of grants to schools into "The Successful Middle Schools Grants," supported the addition of the "Aspiring Educator Scholarships" to bring passionate teacher candidates to the conference, and saw the landmark achievement of awarding the inaugural "Successful Middle Schools in Action" research grants. Thank you, Stephanie, for leading the rebirth of AMLE. Best wishes to you, your family, and your future endeavors.
